I bought three yards of this fabric the other day and had intended to use it to make a large coiled basket. But as it turns out, it's absolutely terrible for basket making. The pattern gets so jumbled it makes no sense whatsoever when you look at it. When I realized I couldn't use it for basket making I decided to use it for another project. But what? That's when I decided to change things up a bit. Since I love purses and have only ever made two in my life, one several years ago and one the previous day just as an out of the blue thing, I decided to move forward in this direction.
I worked on this particular purse from a pattern I drew earlier in the day. The purse didn't come out perfectly, as is often the case on your first pattern making attempt, but a little modification here and there should correct the problems I ran into and help bring this puppy to completion tomorrow.
See you then.
