Not-So-Spectacular Sunday!!

This afternoon I had grand ideas about what I wanted to do in my craft studio.  I set aside five hours to cut the fabric for all the dresses I wanted to sew for the entire week.  I was very excited about jumping in and getting right to work!  It wasn't until the third hour or so that I realized I had made some errors when cutting my fabric.  The dresses I wanted to make are part jean and part decorative cotton fabric and somehow I managed to get the picture of the dress all confused in my head and ended up cutting parts of it from the wrong fabric.  This left me short on fabric by the time I realized my error.  I spent the next two hours of my craft day trying to correct my mistakes all the while making more mistakes!  Oh the humanity!!  My frustration level was high.  I later mentioned it to my sister, and she felt badly for me, of course. And that's when it hit me!  The most frustrating day in the craft room is incredibly-super duper-just plain better than the best day at the office.  I'll have to keep that in mind the next time everything seems to go wrong.  Perhaps a little note of reminder on my studio wall is in order.

When all was said and done, I only had enough material for six dresses.
